Oh, That Crazy Waifu
Some real talk about DWM drama - from a real victim

Well, I’m just gonna up and say it. I won’t give you details - don’t ask. I don’t need pity or prayer or anything because I’m fine! I’ve never said this in a public forums of any kind. And prior to this, I had only opened up about this to two people. Not because I’m drowning in a sea of sorrow - but because it’s done and over with. I’ve healed. I came to terms with it years ago and moved on. Doesn’t mean I don’t get touchy about it sometimes. Doesn’t mean I was never hurting or confused or angry or afraid.

I am a victim of molestation. My molester lived with me and it lasted some years. But that’s all you need to know because the rest of the story, frankly, doesn’t matter.

Now, with all this ‘Down with Molestia’ bullshit flying around I see a bunch of people going THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN AND THE VICTIMS YOU ARE TORTURING WITH YOUR PG-13 HORSE BUTTS. To thiese people I have to say: Are you out of your fucking mind?

First is the argument for ‘the children’. How many 7 year olds do you know on tumblr? A hundred? Fifty? What? Oh that’s right! None. I haven’t seen anyone under the age of 12 in the tumblrpon world. And any 12 year old -any 11 or 10 or 9 or 8 or younger year old- knows what rape and molestation are. They know. They have parents. Let their parents do their job. They don’t need you policing their children. And as for the people screaming that it shows up on Google. Guess what - so does every kind of porn. Why isn’t there a ‘DOWN WITH INTERNET PORN’ movement? Because that’s stupid. Just like your argument. If you’re here on tumblr, you’re old enough to know this is the most stupid piece shit argument ever.

Then, we have the folks crying for the victims. You folks are special. Very special. And to you I can sum up my thoughts pretty concisely:
Fuck. Off. We’re big boys and girls who can decide what we deem appropriate for us and what isn’t.
Don’t use me as your battle cry just because you THINK I might be offended and you need to protect my delicate little heart. Even if you are a victim yourself, only speak for yourself. I’m not you. No two victims are the same so don’t drag me down with you. If you were smart and truly cared about coming to terms with the terrible thing that happened to you, you would just not follow the blog and blacklist it. YOU are the one responsible for yourself. If you hurt, I’m sorry. But it’s not the internet’s job to coddle you with squeaky clean environments. Only you can control what content you view. Take charge and stop whining on my behalf because that’s a fucking embarrassment.

And then there’s the foul-cryers. IT PROMOTES RAPE, they whine loudly. But I’ll say it again:
YOU are the one responsible for yourself. It’s not the internet’s job to coddle you with squeaky clean environments. Only you can control what content you view.

Just like with any issue ever, if you don’t like, don’t bother with it.

Don’t like gay marriage? Don’t marry a gay person.
Don’t like cigarettes? Don’t smoke them.
Don’t like kids? Don’t have any.
Don’t like broccoli? That’s a damn shame but you don’t have to eat it.
Don’t like a blog? Don’t fucking follow it or have any association with it.

It really is that simple.

EDIT: There’s something I forgot! Some of the people I’ve seen whining about Molestia are people who have posted pony rape porn, gore, violence, etc. You guys are the worst garbage in the whole argument because of how hypocritical you are. Think before you pick what bandwagons to jump on.
